The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a fatal single-car crash that happened early Saturday morning.

At around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, KPD officers responded to the 200 block of Adair Drive, where a red Infiniti was flipped on its side.

The driver, a yet unidentified woman and the only occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the crash, which remains ongoing and in the early stages, is being led by KPD crash reconstruction personnel.
